Who are we?
“Where there is no vision, the people perish.” Psalm 29:18a
What began as “Fellowship Community Church” in 1993 in the Lynchburg area of central Virginia, grew to include an on-campus, private Christian school (being “Fellowship Christian Academy”), as well as a thriving food bank ministry operated by the church. By the late 90s, Fellowship Community Church was renamed as “Solid Rock Baptist Church,” and soon added to its many forms of outreach a Gospel/Christian-Country radio station. As of the mid-2000s, the school took on a solely digital curriculum that allowed students to work from home or on the road rather than strictly in a traditional educational setting in a classroom.
What we do?
Solid Rock Ministries is committed to the study and teaching of the Scriptures, proclaiming salvation through Jesus Christ alone, the worship of God “in spirit and in truth (John 4:23-24),” and the enabling and equipping of all believers for the work to which they have been called.
